The cuisine is a wise delicate  mix of traditional Japanese flavors and dishes  (green tea, puffed rice, yuzu, sesame, miso, nori …and soba, udon, tempura, onigiri…) with organic local products (gâteau basque, locally sourced vegetable, syrups, and honey,…).

The deli offers a wide range of Basque and Japanese artisanal products (natural wines, sake, Patxaran, Umeshu …)

In a dedicated space are offered comfortable and organic clothing (Vague & Lame, Base Range, POPUPSHOP, … ), various Japanese and Basque objects and accessories such as ceramics, knives , kitchen ustensiles, stationery, as well as a fine selection of books on ecology, contemporary art related to nature, and Japanese and Basque crafts.

Residency

Twice a year, Japanese artists are invited to collaborate with a Basque artisan with a range of disciplines and techniques from ceramics, weaving, floral art, woodcarving, basket making, paper art  (to culinary art, folk music, or martial arts, …

 

Workshop & gallery

Throughout the year, we invite artists, and crafts-men and –women to participate in workshops based on Japanese and Basque traditional crafts (pottery , weaving, woodcarving, ikebana , origami, furoshiki , oshibana , kintsugi … )
In the program :

– Meetings with researchers, artists, crafts-men and -women, poets, mediators around the topics of ecology, arts and crafts, (regional folk cultures)
– Film screenings
– Performances
– Exhibitions
